CFN98468 Norathyriol

Norathyriol is a potent PTP1B inhibitor with good cell permeability and oral availability. Norathyriol as a safe new chemopreventive agent that is highly effective against development of UV-induced skin cancer. Norathyriol may be a dual, yet weak, cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase pathway blocker, it has anti-inflammatory effect, and has inhibitory effect on the A23187-induced pleurisy and acetic acid-induced writhing response in mice. Norathyriol can relax the rat thoracic aorta mainly by suppressing the Ca2+ influx through both voltage-dependent and receptor-operated calcium channels. Norathyriol also can improve the glucose utilization and insulin sensitivity by up-regulation of the phosphorylation of AMPK.
CFN98530 Aucubin

Aucubin is an iridoid glycoside with a wide range of biological activities, including pancreas-protective, chondroprotective, antispasmodic, liver-protective, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, antioxidant, anti-algesic as well as anti-tumor activities. Aucubin prevents neuronal death in the hippocampal CA1 region in rats with diabetic encephalopathy, it also has protective effects on H2O2-induced apoptosis in PC12 cells. Aucubin may improve obesity-induced atherosclerosis by attenuating TNF-α-induced inflammatory responses. Aucubin suppresses hepatitis B viral DNA replication in vitro.
CFN98601 Vitexin

Vitexin, an HIF-1alpha inhibitor, which has anticonvulsant, anti-depressant, anti-glycation, spasmolytic, anti-metastatic, antitumor, anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive activities. Vitexin can be effectively used for the prevention of UV-induced adverse skin reactions such as free radical production and skin cell damage; it non-competitively inhibits Ach but not the Ca(2+) influx.
CFN98711 Brazilin

Brazilin exhibits cancer preventive, anti-hepatotoxicity, antiplatelet activity, and anti-inflammatory activities, it also inhibits UVB-induced MMP-1/3 expressions and secretions by suppressing of NF-κB activation in human dermal fibroblasts, thus, it might be used as a potential agent for treatment of UV-induced skin photoaging. Brazilin has anti-IKK activity, can selectively disrupt proximal IL-1 receptor signaling complex formation by targeting an IKK-upstream signaling components. Brazilin induces vasorelaxation by the increasing intracellular Ca(2+) concentration in endothelial cells of blood vessels and hence activating Ca(2+)/calmodulin-dependent NO synthesis.
CFN90041 DL-alpha-Tocopherol

DL-alpha-tocopherol, a potent inhibitor of phorbol ester induced shape change of erythro- and megakaryoblastic leukemia cells. DL-alpha-tocopherol acetate protects endothelial cell membranes from oxidative damage and disruption and limits the magnitude of haemorrhage and its spread from the subependyma into the ventricles; it also protects human skin fibroblasts against the cytotoxic effect of UVB, and its mechanism seems to be related to inhibition of UV-induced lipid peroxidation or to the antioxidation effect of dl-alpha-tocopherol.
