Source:	The stems of Sambucus williamsii.
Solvent:	Chloroform, Dichloromethane, Ethyl Acetate, DMSO, Acetone, etc.
Storage:	Providing storage is as stated on the product vial and the vial is kept tightly sealed, the product can be stored for up to 24 months(2-8C). Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20C. Generally, these will be useable for up to two weeks. Lignans from stems of Sambucus williamsii.[Pubmed: 19673382]

To study the chemical constitutents of the 60% ethanol extract of the stems of Sambucus williamsii.
METHODS AND RESULTS:
Compounds were isolated and purified by Diaion D101,silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,ODS column chromatography and preparative HPLC.Their structures were identified by spectroscopic methods. Seven lignans were isolated and identified as erythro-guaiacylglycerol-β-O-4′-sinapyl ether(erythro-Guaiacylglycerol beta-sinapyl ether,1),1-(4′-hydroxy-3′-methoxyphenyl)-2-[4″-(3-hydroxypropyl)-2″,6″-dimethoxyphenoxy]propane-1,3-diol(2),isolariciresinol(3),burselignan(4),lyoniresinol(5),5-methoxy-isolariciresinol(6),cycloolivil(7).
CONCLUSIONS:
All these compounds were obtained from this genus for the first time.
