Eight new triterpenoids from the light petroleum extract of the stems of Lithocarpus cornea(Lour.) Rhed. have been proved to be taraxer-14-ene-3β,29-diol (VIII) and its diacetate (VII), 29-hydroxytaraxer-14-en-3-one (X) and its acetate (IX), 14α-hydroxytaraxeran-3-one (XXIX), taraxerane-3β,14α-diol (XXX), 22-hydroxy-21αH-hopan-3-one (XXIII), and lup-20(29)-ene-3β,27-diol (XXXII).
CONCLUSIONS:
Other triterpenoids isolated from the same extract, besides those already reported 1 were lupeol, betulin, and myricadiol (I). The steroid epi-Ikshusterol (stigmast-5-ene-3β,7β-diol)(XXXVII) was also obtained. | Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs,2001, 32(11):964-966. | Studies on chemical constituents of Adenophora wawreana.[Reference: WebLink] | To study systematically on the chemical constituents of the roots of Adenophora wawreana Zahibr. METHODS AND RESULTS: The chemical constituents were extracted and isolated systematically with solvents and silica gel chromatography Their structures were determined on the basis of spectral data (IR, 1HNMR, 13 CNMR and MS). Twelve compounds were obtained, nine of them were identified as β sitosteryl hexadecanoate (Ⅰ), β sitosteryl octadecanoate (Ⅱ), α amyrin acetate (Ⅲ), lupeol acetate (Ⅳ), lupenone (Ⅵ), friedelin (Ⅶ), β sitosterol (Ⅸ), Ikshusterol (Ⅹ) and daucosterol ( ⅩⅡ ). CONCLUSIONS: All of them were obtained for the first time from A wawreana and compounds Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅶ were obtained for the first time from Adenophora Fisch. |
