Acta Phytophylacica Sinica, 2010, 37(1):67-72. | Antifungal activity and active ingredients of Rabdosia nervosa.[Reference: WebLink] | METHODS AND RESULTS: The antifungal activity of methanol extract and active ingredients of Rabdosia nervosa were studied by using mycelial growth, column chromatography and spectral analysis. The results showed that the methanol extract presents the highest inhibitory activity against Phytophthora melonis, Peronophthora litchi and the active ingredients mainly concentrated in the chloroform extract. Six active ingredients were isolated: lasiokaurin, Rabdoserrin A, oridonin, nodosin, epinodosinol and enmein. The inhibitory rates against Phytophthora melonis of six active ingredients in 20 μg/mL were 54.61%, 42.73%, 75.50%, 59.84%, 51.11%, 24.13% respectively and 49.52%, 19.45%, 76.81%, 10.29%, 2.63%, 7.09% against Peronophthora litchi respectively, oridonin had the most remarkable antifungal activity.
CONCLUSIONS:
Oridonin could induce the mycelium over branch that was observed with optical microscope and its mechanism deserves further study. |
