Description: 11β-Hydroxycedrelone has cytotoxic activity, it exhibits moderate inhibitory activity against HL-60 cell line with the IC50 values of 8.9 uM.

Isolation of 11b-Hydroxycedrelone from Walsura yunnanensis and its Cytotoxic Activity.[Reference: WebLink]

METHODS AND RESULTS:
11beta-Hydroxycedrelone was isolated from the twigs and leaves of Walsura yunnanensis C. Y. Wu. Its structure was established on the basis of spectroscopic methods. 11beta-Hydroxycedrelone featured a typical rearranged A-ring structure of this compound class.
CONCLUSIONS:
Cytotoxic evaluation showed that its exhibited moderate inhibitory activity against HL-60 cell line with the IC50 values of 8.9 μM.
11beta-Hydroxycedrelone Description
Source: The barks of Walsura yunnanensis

Storage: Providing storage is as stated on the product vial and the vial is kept tightly sealed, the product can be stored for up to 24 months(2-8C).

Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20C. Generally, these will be useable for up to two weeks. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 1 hour.

Tetranortriterpenoids from Walsura yunnanensis.[Pubmed: 10924171]

METHODS AND RESULTS:
Five new tetranortriterpenoids-walsurin (1), isowalsuranolide (2), walsuranolide (3), 11beta-acetoxywalsuranolide (4), and 20, 22-dihydro-22,23-epoxywalsuranolide (5)-and three new natural tetranortriterpenoids-11beta-hydroxydihydrocedrelone (6), 11beta-acetoxydihydrocedrelone (7), and 11beta-Hydroxycedrelone (8)-together with a known tetranortriterpenoid, cedrelone (9), were isolated from the bark of Walsura yunnanensis. The structures of 1-8 were determined on the basis of spectral evidence.
